Dear ASEAN families, friends, and communities. Recently the Secretary of State of the United States Mr. Pompeo heavily spread lies and disinformation to the world community in the attempt to create regional tensions and disputes in our ASEAN region, claiming that China is a threat to our common home in the South China Sea.

This U.S. propaganda campaign has widely spreading through international media and creates an uneasiness to the ASEAN communities of Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, The Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

1. We want this U.S. propaganda campaign to STOP immediately, and the U.S. government should not make things up and disturb our regional peace and stability.
2. Do not use any of our country's name in the region; Malaysia, The Philippines, Vietnam, and Taiwan to create an agenda for the United States Military Forces interventions and interference in the South China Sea, and for the United States geopolitical interest and disputes with China.

WE the people of ASEAN do not need the United States Military protection. Our ASEAN leaders are in solidarity and able to co-orporate, develop, and progress peacefully and sustainably with each other in our region. without conflicts and violence.

ASEAN does not belong to the United States of America, and the United States government should respect the will of our ASEAN community. respect our territory, respect our nations and our people.
